Optional Subjects for Civil Services Main Exam

This is the complete list of optional subjects for civil services main examination. You have to opt for any one subject. Optional paper consists of two papers of 250 marks each. Click on the subject name to view its syllabus.

Note: You can opt for the literatures of a language as an optional subject, only if you have graduated in the literature of that particular language as the main subject.

Is it mandatory to be graduate in literature of a language to keep that subject as optional, or if that had been one of the subjects during my graduation, I can opt for that?
